Winner of the Peabody award in 2007, Crossing East is eight one-hour documentaries on the history of Asian immigration into the US, from pre-nationhood to post-9/11. It tells the stories of Asian involvement in American history through interviews, archives, scholar commentary, and reenactments. Crossing East is the first comprehensive radio series on Asian American history.

Each program contains a newscast window and breaks at :19 and :39 after the hour.

George Takei hosts programs 1-4:
First Contacts, Frontier Asians, Raising Cane and Exclusion & Resistance
Margaret Cho hosts programs 5-8:
Brides & Children, The Post '65 Generation, Refuge From War and New Waves, New Storms.

Also available are 5-minute music pieces for newshole fillers or for local news magazines. There are also shorter modules of stories from the series available.
