We've been a weekly feature on Grand Rapids, Michigan's NPR affiliate WGVU-FM since 1996. The program focuses on in-depth conversations with thought leaders in the world of religion and spirituality. The parameters are quite wide. Aside from introducing listeners to various aspects of faith traditions, we also explore the conflicts among them, and reflect on how religion intersects with society, politics, the academy and more.
Common Threads is hosted by Fred Stella, who has served as President of Interfaith Dialogue Association, which is now an affiliate of the Kaufman Interfaith Institute at Grand Valley State University. GVSU owns and operates WGVU. Fred has been a professional media talent for over 40 years.
