I was a merchant marine officer commuting to vietnam for three years during the war. i at least did not have a radio that i could listen to the armed forces radio, so i listened to tapes brought from the us. i heard these songs later and appreciated their tone and timelessness. thank you .

i tend to think of these musicals as dated and fixed in some time when i was only 65. the good thing is that i can, reluctantly change. and now i am 73 years younger. this is very confusing, messing with the space time continuum. back to the future again.
