Broadcasting since 1996, KNBA has been the first and only Native radio station in an urban market.  KNBA's signal reaches the Anchorage metropolitan area, Matanuska-Susitna Valley and Kenai Peninsula. Arbitron ratings for 2014 estimate an average daily listenership of 9000 to 17000 people.
