The WDVX Blue Plate Special® is a live radio show that happens at the Knoxville Visitor Center straight up at noon, Monday through Saturday. Old Time, Appalachian, Bluegrass, Blues, singer-songwriter, jazz, poetry and the-as-yet undefinable genre land at this crossroads of American roots music in downtown Knoxville.

Blue Plate Special is broadcasted on community radio station WDVX and web cast on wdvx.com.

Season 1-5 feature an hour long recorded version of the daily live Blue Plate Special that features three performances in each episode.

Season 2 includes twenty minute shows for each musical act. Programmers can build their own Blue Plate Special by selecting three segments and the opening credits (BLUE PLATE SPECIAL 1200A) and closing credits (BLUE PLATE SPECIAL 1200B).
