#1: New Naderi Restaurant

For a taste of old Iran, dine at New Naderi Restaurant, nestled at Bur Dubai. The restaurant is known for its impressive range of classic Iranian recipes made from only high-quality ingredients. Serving everything from tantalizing appetizers to traditional rice and kebab dishes and desserts; customers have left it raving about every dish they’ve ordered.

#2: House of Iran

Established in 2002, House of Iran offers healthy and tasty Persian cuisine. They serve a wide variety of starters and vegetarian dishes such as Kabab koobideh, bademjan, ash-e reshteh (soup with noodles and lentil), chelo (rice with meat), Reshte Koobideh (beef kababs) are just to name a few.

#3: Khan El Khalili

It is named after a famous souk in Cairo, Egypt. It offers authentic dishes from different parts of Iran and Middle East. The main thing to order here is khoreshte fesenjoon, but I recommend trying everything! Other recommendations include Dolme Barg (saddle of lamb stuffed with rice), Ghormeh Sabzi (green herb stew) and Fasolia Polow (beans and grains). Their variety of vegetarian options makes it one of my favorite restaurants.

#4: Khoshbin Restaurant

This Persian family-run restaurant was founded by a group of chefs who have since become household names around town. For over three decades, they’ve been serving up delicious treats with a modern twist to both casual diners and discerning foodies alike. But what really sets Khoshbin apart is its incredibly accommodating service and overall atmosphere: When you walk through their doors, you’ll instantly feel like you’re walking into an upscale restaurant, even though their prices are pleasantly modest.

#5: Safavid Persian Restaurant

Opened by a Persian couple, Safavid is located in Satwa and has been serving traditional Persian food for nearly two decades. We recommend the mixed kabob plate with chicken, beef and lamb; it’s served with rice, salad and pickles on a bed of saffron-infused Basmati rice. Not a fan of lamb? You can order just chicken or beef!

#6: Chelo Kabab House

Considered by many to be one of Dubai’s most popular restaurants, Chelo Kabab House is quite popular for their succulent and tasty grilled meats. However, their grills are not all that stand out about Chelo Kabab House; you should try their gooey grilled cheese which makes for a perfect appetizer or side. The prices are relatively cheap at Chelo Kabab House; you’ll get your fill for less than Dhs 100 if you stick to a light meal.

#7, Ashiyane Persian Restaurant (Beirut Street)

If you’re looking for authentic cuisine and an experience of a lifetime, then look no further than Ashiyane Persian Restaurant. Set at Beirut Street, Ashiyane is not just popular amongst residents but also among tourists who are keen to try out new foods while they’re in town. Furthermore, if you’re traveling as a family or with kids, don’t fret because they also have high chairs available.

#8, Iran Dizi Restaurant (Al Fahidi)

The name of Tehran’s most famous street is now found on a restaurant just outside its namesake city, in Dubai. Dizi refers to cylindrical clay pots commonly used for making Persian stews and soups and finding such pots outside Iran is no surprise given how popular they are among Iranians. The recipes served at Iran Dizi, a family-run restaurant with branches throughout UAE, also come from traditional Persian cuisine though they are spiced up with ingredients from other cultures.

#9, Saffron Restaurant (Al Quoz)

Saffron is an upscale Persian restaurant located in Al Quoz. Open since July 2014, it’s a great option for anyone looking to get out of their comfort zone and try something different. With bold, vivid colors and eclectic decorations, it is easy to understand why Saffron was named one of CNN Travel’s 13 Most Beautiful Restaurants in The World.
