To commemorate the United Nations Girls' Education Initiative's (UNGEI) 10 year anniversary and global conference in Dakar,
Senegal, 17-20 May, UNGEI has produced a podcast series on three themes: violence, poverty and beyond access. The series aims to advance the discussions on the role of education in promoting gender equality, and
bring different voices together around the barriers to, and strategies for,
achieving education for all.

The United Nations Girls’ Education Initiative (UNGEI) is a partnership dedicated to narrowing the gender gap in education and aims to ensure that all children – girls and boys – have equal access to quality learning. To mark its 10th anniversary, UNGEI is holding a global conference in Dakar, Senegal, 17-20 May. In conjunction with the conference UNGEI has produced three podcasts on each of the main streams of the Conference - Violence,
Poverty and Beyond Access. This podcast series aims to advance the discussions on the role of education in promoting gender equality, and
bring different voices together around the barriers to, and strategies for, achieving education for all.
