WINGS: Women's International News Gathering Service is a weekly half-hour radio program by and about women around the world.  This multiple award-winning series has been internationally sourced and syndicated since 1986.  Pitches encouraged. Email: wings@wings.org

Many WINGS contributing producers have achieved international distinction for their work. Among these are Diana Wanyonyi (Kenya), Mindy Ran (Netherlands), Indu Ramesh and Kalpana Pradhan (India), Lis van Berkel (Canada), Alexandra Hall (Chile), Nafisa Hoodbhoy (Pakistan), Violet Gonda (Zimbabwe), Boni Sones (UK), and Lydia Ajono (Ghana).

Series Producer and co-founder Frieda Werden  previously produced series for NPR and Longhorn Radio Network and was Operations Manager at Western Public Radio. She has 12 years experience managing spoken word programming for CJSF-FM at Simon Fraser University in Canada.  She is past President of the International Association of Women in Radio and TV and was a Women's Network Representative and later North America V-P for the World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters (AMARC), and she advocates for Section J (Women and the Media) of the Beijing Platform for Action.
