Oklahoma's ONLY All Vinyl Radio Show

Playing new vinyl releases from the current year, previous decade and beyond.

Hosted by Kellen & Beau Brady

History:

In 2006, “”What College Radio Should Be with Kellen & Beau”" began to air on KXZY, Oklahoma State’s on campus radio station.

It was on that show that Kellen & Beau began to refine their taste in music and broadcast techniques. Around this time they both started to collect vinyl records.

Kellen & Beau stayed best friends after college and spent many Friday nights at the Electro Lounge, specifically Spy Night hosted by Ferris O’Brien. In 2009 when Ferris started to get The Spy back on the air, Kellen filled a Friday night opening playing smash hits at Electro.

Soon, Beau began spinning Friday nights with his then roommate Brett. Together, they integrated vinyl records into their live Friday night sets at Electro. They would spin regularly until the Electro Lounge became S&B’s Burger Joint in early 2011. That same year, Kellen & Beau had been roommates for a year and thespyfm.com had been live for just as long. Seeing an opportunity to share their vinyl collection with fans of The Spy, You’re Welcome was born.

Their first episode was recorded in November 2011 and featured the Japanese band BORIS. Ever since, Kellen & Beau have spent hours playing and discussing their favorite songs of the past decade and beyond.

Today:

Kellen & Beau pride themselves in keeping up with the most current music, often playing vinyl records the day they’re released. With a unique and refined sense of humor and a wealth of music knowledge, Kellen & Beau are sincerely thrilled to be sharing their taste on FM radio.

It is a dream come true. Hide full description
